Prison Poetry on PBS

Here is a clip of Shrong Clemons, a prisoner, reading from his own poetry.  Clemons, who was serving his third prison sentence, is part of an innovative program at Sheridan Correctional Center that combines therapy, education, and follow-up aftercare to keep released convicts from returning to jail. He recites exerpts from three of his poems that deal with themes of freedom and hope. YouTube Preview Image
